Coach Lesson Plan
Warm up – have your group run to a location and afterwards have them stretch, take roll.
Goal for Lesson Plan 4: Mini track meet. Set up the field for all events.
Divide the class into two groups A (5-12th) B (K-4th) and have them rotate through the relay race, 100 meter run, standing long jump and shot put.
Example:
K-4th will do relay race first - then go to shot put - then the long jump.
5-12 can start with long jump.
All end up running the 100 at the end (via gender and age).
Or if you are instructing by yourself - Do the relay first for the whole group, then long jump, then shot put, then final race.
